Our Classes

Registration open for the six-week summer semester. Classes run June 16 to August 4, with July 14-21 off.

We offer sibling discounts, and if the sibling is under 8 months old, they are free with their older enrolled sibling. Scroll down for the full class schedule.

Registering early not only secures your spot but it also helps to ensure the class will run!

Don't see a class time that works for you? Please let us know and we will see what we can do! Program price information and registration here.  If you wish to purchase a gift certificate, click here.

A Music Together® Class is:

  • A community of families sharing songs, instrument play, rhythm chants, and movement activities in a relaxed, playful, non-performance-oriented setting.
  • Music learned through developmentally appropriate activities that support and respect the unique learning styles of very young children.
  • Infants, toddlers, and preschoolers participating at their own levels in family-style classes of mixed ages
  • Parents and caregivers contributing to the enrichment of their child's music environment - regardless of their own musical abilities.
  • A new song collection every semester for three years, featuring great arrangements of original and traditional songs in a wide variety or tonalities, meters, and cultural styles.
  • 45 minutes of PURE FUN with your child every week!

Family (Mixed Age) Class: For you and your young children age 0-5 years. Siblings may attend the same class, with sibling discounts! Songbook and CDs are included, a different collection every semester! Fall, winter, and spring semesters meet for ten weeks, summer for six.

Babies Class: An introductory class just for new families with new babies, newborn to 8 months old. Read more about Babies classes here. Babies 0-8 months are also welcome in the mixed age classes, and are free (through 7 months of age) if they are accompanying an older sibling in a mixed age class!

Big Kids Classes: If you and your (homeschooling?) friends would like a class for your 5- to 7-year-olds, please contact the director at director.meadowlark@me.com. Music Together Big Kids™ is a 60-minute class for 5-, 6-, and 7-year-olds. The program blends the elements of Music Together that parents and children love with new activities, skills, and challenges that are developmentally appropriate for this age group. Read more about the Big Kids program here.

Music Together Generations: If your facility is interested in hosting an Intergenerational Music Together class, please contact Karen at director.meadowlark@me.com. Same as Multi-age Parent-Child Classes, but held at a Senior living facility, and we invite the Elders to join us in making and enjoying the music. Children and Elders interact, and can become like surrogate grandparents/grandchildren to each other. The Elders are a wonderful source of musical knowledge, talent, and nurturing, and love to have visits from little ones - smiles all around!

A note to parents:

Our classes are geared towards providing a musical immersion experience for your children. Just like language learning, musical learning happens best in a full-immersion approach. To this end, we ask that you refrain as much as possible from talking in class, either with your spouse, other parents, or with your children. If you must communicate with your child or another adult, please try to do it non-verbally, or as a last resort, in a singing voice. Your children are especially attuned to your speaking voice (you may not think they are listening to you, but they are!!) and are easily distracted by it. And remember: Children learn more from what you do than what you say. Be a model of attentive music making.
