What's New

Summer Music Classes!! YES!

I'm so excited to open classes again! Summer semester will open with a few pandemic-related changes. We will practice social distancing by having each family bring a blanket for just their family to stay on. You may be asked to bring your own "playalong" instruments/noisemakers or other props. Adults and older children will be asked to wear masks or faceshields. Makeups in different classes will not be allowed, but we'll do our six week semester for seven weeks, so if you miss, you will be able to "make it up" by coming to the seventh class. We may do classes outdoors, weather permitting. I know we will work it out to make great Music Together® and have a terrific time, even with the new challenges. Can't wait to see you!

Class Day Changing

Weekday class at First Baptist is changing from Tuesday mornings to WEDNESDAY mornings. Time stays the same, 9:30 am. We are also offering our usual 9:30 am Saturday class at First Baptist, and a 10:30 am class at the Oread Meeting Hall on Thursdays. This will go for the summer at least, and we'll likely have more class times in the fall. I hope this change works for many of you.

Give the gift of music!

Early musical experiences set the foundation for a lifetime of musical development and enjoyment. Music Together classes are a great way to give your children and/or grandchildren a gift that lasts! Click the link above to buy gift certificates online. Gift Certificates are non-refundable, not redeemable for cash, but they ARE transferrable. (If you can't use it, pay it forward by giving it to another family or donating it back to Meadowlark Music Together for the scholarship fund. Thank you!)

Go to musictogether.com for other musical gifts, including: musical instruments and props your child will recognize from class, Music Together totes and apparel, and more.

Inclement Weather Policy

Meadowlark Music Together will make the call for each inclement weather day and we will not necessarily be following Lawrence Public Schools this year. Please check our Facebook page for updates, along with your email. If you need to bring any non-enrolled children to class on a LPS delay or cancellation day, please feel free as long as everyone participates in class. (We will probably not close for "cold", just for bad driving conditions.) We will do our very best to reschedule all missed classes due to inclement weather. If you are unable to make a class due to weather, please take advantage of our open make-up policy. All make-ups must be used in the same semester.
