Donations go directly to our scholarship fund. Our scholarship fund is used primarily to offer assistance to families who are unable to pay the full cost of tuition on their own.
If the amount we receive in donations ends up consistently higher than the amount requested by families in need of scholarships, we may use some of the extra to pay staff wages and space rental fees for free pop-up classes, either for the public, as part of public play groups, or at preschools and daycares. The goal of these pop-ups would be specifically to reach more children who otherwise might not have access to music education and/or raise awareness of our scholarship fund so that more families apply for assistance.
If the amount we receive in donations ends up consistently lower than the amount requested by families in need of scholarships, we will do our best to help as much as we can, but we may not able to meet every request. If this is the case, we may offer fundraiser events such as paid pop-up classes or raffles to help make up the difference.
If you would like to donate as thanks for participation in a free pop-up class or trial visit, we recommend $20. If you would like to donate in return for bringing an extra sibling to class, we recommend $5/class. Of course, these numbers are just to give you an idea of where to start; the reason they are donations and not fees is because they are entirely optional and up to you! Any amount is appreciated, for any reason or no reason at all.
